PRO-4 Patented End Mills

The Patented PRO-4 solid carbide end mill by PROMAX Tools is a hybrid cutter combining the best elements of our Finishing End Mill and our Rougher-Finisher. With 8 geometries on 4 flutes, the PRO-4 presents an entirely unique approach to common problems in high-performance machining.

Unique Hybrid Geometry

These precision cutting tools have cutting edge chip-breakers and finishing geometry that appear in an alternating pattern on either the lower or upper half of each flute. In the resulting cutting action, a chip-breaking edge on one half of the tool on one flute is followed by a finishing edge in the same region on the following flute. This geometry accomplishes what other geometries attempt through unequal indexing or multiple helixes.

PRO-4 Solid Carbide End Mills come standard with the PROMAX Tools Advanced AlTiN coating (Part Number ending in 4) and our New nACRO® coating (Part Number ending in 5). These precision cutting tools come in a variety of Length of Cuts including Stub, Standard and Extended Reach.
